The Conscious Collective is a social advocacy organization that was born from years of trying to make ethical corporate gifting easier for large organizations. Our mission is to create a trusted online community that introduces corporate gift buyers to local, unique, diversely-led, sustainable and ethical makers. We celebrate our clients who "Gift on purpose" and instill meaning into their client and employee gifting experience.
Our Growing Community
Small and minority led businesses are representative of our communities. Strengthening these voices are good for our democracy. Larger corporations have the budgets and ESG mandates to diversify their supply chains and support small and minority-led businesses; but procurement and compliance departments don’t make it easy. We want to make it easy for big corps to source their employee and client gifts from small local makers. It’s a great start to economic equality.
The Conscious Collective is an Upside Foundation Pledge Member and donates 1% of profit to social and environmental impact charities.
Meet Melissa, Our Founder
I grew up in Scarborough, a culturally rich and diverse part of Toronto, surrounded by peers from all walks of life. As the child of Portuguese immigrant parents, I was part of a community of hardworking families building better futures—an inspiring mosaic of cultures that shaped my values and perspective.
With 20 years in corporate marketing, sales, and service at companies like Salesforce, Oracle, and TD Bank, I’ve learned that we can create meaningful change by consciously supporting ethical, diverse, and small businesses. This belief deepened when I worked with a corporate gifting company, where I saw the power of thoughtful gifts to make a social, environmental, and business impact.
The Conscious Collective was born to solve a challenge: making it easy for large corporations to buy from small makers. I'm thrilled to build this community and invite you to join the movement to transform corporate gifting into a force for good. Let’s make a difference together!
Charitable Impact
Conscious Collective is dedicated to making a meaningful social impact by prioritizing charitable causes. We host an annual charity campaign and are committed to increasing our participation in charity events each year. This year, we proudly partnered with Up With Women to support their incredible mission. As a Pledge Member of the Upside Foundation, we also donate 1% of our profits to social and environmental impact charities, ensuring our success contributes to building a better future for all.
