Pokko is a new Canadian rice- and chickpea- chip that tastes like nothing you've had before, guaranteed. Packed with an innovative flavour, all natural with solid nutrition, and a savoury crunch, it’ll be time for the crackers and chips to move on over in your cupboard!   Pokko started in 2019 inspired by Sasha's mother cooking a variation of the snack growing up. Sasha, the founder, first started cooking Pokko in his basement apartment right outside their front door (it would otherwise stink up the whole apartment, and Sasha would have an angry girlfriend! (now wife)).  Having completed many variations of the snack through taste testing with focus groups, Pokko was born. Having a newborn at the time, a full-time job, Sasha would work tirelessly in evenings and weekends cooking in a commercial kitchen selling it to friends, families, companies and bars. After having bootstrapped over the course of 8 months, the results far exceeded his expectations and Pokko had been validated from its soft launch. Sasha then sought to get a co-packer, investors, a top broker team and distributor on-board to propel growth and more importantly, who believed in the vision. Pokko can now be found all over Canada, including in some notable names such as Longo’s, Healthy Planet, Whole Foods and Fortino’s.
