Soapstone Inukshuk
Rocks sourced from Brazil, and structures designed in Canada by a small Canadian-based business. The word "Inukshuk" for this Soapstone Carving (pronounced ‘in-ook-shook’) translates to “likeness of a person” or “in the image of man” in the Inuit language Inuktitut.
These stone structures are a well-known symbol in the Canadian North. Inukshuks are formed from rock piles that resemble the shape of a person with arms stretching out.
The original purposes of Inukshuks are to landmark directions of the paths of animals for hunting, directions to communities and where caches of food are for travelers were stored.

Founded by Ulymar Rocha, who grew up in a gemstone mining area of Brazil and fell in love with the world of stones and minerals. He later moved to Canada and created what is now one of the largest rocks and minerals wholesalers in Ontario.
